King of Glory Dec 22 Update: 15 Christmas Star Skins Return, Aries Discounted, 6 Heroes Enhanced
The official servers of King of Glory received a significant update on December 22, packed with Christmas festivities, Autumn Championship finale rewards, and balance adjustments for six heroes. Let’s dive into the exciting activities now available!
Championship and MVP Token Exchange
Predicted championship and MVP tokens can now be exchanged for rewards. Players who guessed correctly can obtain KPL Autumn Finals Glory and Bravery Chests. The former guarantees hero fragments and a 3-day team battle recall effect card, with a chance to win permanent heroes: Lan, Ma Chao, Marco Polo, Zhang Liang, or Da Qiao. Additionally, the DYG champion frame and 2020 Autumn Championship frame are available for exchange post-update.
DYG Championship Chests
After the update, all players participating in 5V5 matches, ranked, or entertainment modes can obtain DYG Championship Chests. These may contain 288 skins: Lan—Lone Hunt, Ma Chao—Survivor, Marco Polo—Passionate Green, Zhang Liang—1001 Nights, Da Qiao—Ise Miko, or the heroes themselves.
Champion Team Hero/Skin Limited-Time Discounts
The champion lineup receives discounts, including several basic skins. Notably, Zhang Liang’s Golden Aries, Da Qiao’s Cat & Dog Diary, and White Snake skins are available at a 20% discount. Don’t forget to use the championship cheer voice pack in the quick message interface!
Double Holiday Benefits
From December 25 to 27, log in to claim rewards like diamonds and inscription fragments. Two highly requested limited-time voice lines, “I’m strong, I know” and “Split apart, enemies!”, can be exchanged for 88 diamonds each.
Welcome 2021 Event
Complete match participation and cumulative login tasks to obtain 2021 New Year Snowball items. Collect 20 to exchange for the “Early Godlike Avatar Frame”—a must for collectors.
Christmas Star Skins Return
Starting December 25, 15 Christmas Star items for Han Xin—Street, Daji—Charm Vegas, Ake—Rhythm Heatwave, Da Qiao—Cat & Dog Diary, and Sun Ce—Cat & Dog Diary return. Han Xin and Daji’s Christmas weapons can be bought with Purple Star Coins; others require coupons. Future returns will be via limited-time gacha. (PS: Cai Wenji’s Miracle Christmas will return on New Year’s Day!)
Lucky Draw and Hero Adjustments
Points Lucky Draw features Ying Zheng and Ne Zha, while Diamond Lucky Draw includes Da Qiao, Zhuang Zhou, and Mi Yue. Da Qiao’s elevator strategy, prominent in KPL, excels in coordinated team play.
Hero Enhancements
Six heroes received buffs:
- Li Yuanfang: Slightly increased late-game damage on Skill 1.
- Sun Ce: Boosted Skill 2 damage and reduced cooldown.
- Baili Xuance: Enhanced passive basic attack long-range AD damage.
- Zhou Yu: Faster fire zone spread and added knockback range indicator for Skill 1.
- Ying Zheng: Removed extra damage to minions/monsters from ultimate but increased scaling with level and AP.
- Da Mo: Increased Skill 1 dash range by 50 units, facilitating smoother 1/3 combos.
Try the improved Da Mo for better combos and Sun Ce for stronger lane dominance post-update!
