The Death of Aries’ Ares: Impulse Isn’t Always a Demon—Sometimes It’s for Love

In the year 1200 BC, the once-beautiful Aegean Sea was engulfed in inextinguishable flames rising from the depths of the underworld. Typhon, accompanied by his son Cerberus, sought to use the sea as a cauldron to boil the gods attending the feast on Mount Olympus.
“The gods shall retreat. Do not provoke that mad dog. With the divine light of Olympus protecting us, these two won’t cause much trouble,” Zeus commanded coldly, though frustration simmered within him. Why does this unkillable, persistent madman always disrupt me when I’m courting?
“Father, Enyo went to pick spirit fruits on Delos Island. I must save her!” Ares, the God of War, gripped his massive spear, his eyes fixed on the distant sea, burning with urgency.
“No! Your exit will disturb the divine barrier. If that wretched dog exploits this opening, what then?”
“But Enyo is still out there! Will you abandon her?”
Zeus stared impassively at Ares. “Defending Olympus and the origin of light is her honor, even if it means death in battle.”
“Father! She is my woman!” Veins bulged on Ares’ forehead as battle flames ignited across his body. He couldn’t stand by while the woman he loved was boiled alive by demons.
“Is her safety worth more than all the gods? Stand down!” Zeus shattered the stone table before him. This son of his was growing defiant, challenging his authority before all the deities. After today, I’ll lock him under eternal ice and temper his edges.
Ares glared, his eyes burning crimson. “Nonsense! You coward! ‘Death in battle’? Why not send your own women to die? You have plenty—send them! Now move, or my spear won’t distinguish friend from foe!”
Before Zeus could react, dark crimson flames erupted from Ares’ mythic armor. Thunder crackled around his colossal spear as a terrifying, giant ram materialized behind him. With a deafening roar, Ares charged toward Typhon.
On Delos, Enyo was trapped. Her armor lay in shattered pieces; her holy shield, forged from her life force, wavered under Cerberus’ savage attacks. Hellfire licked at her body like venomous serpents. Typhon’s maniacal laughter filled her with despair. She was on the verge of collapse, clinging to one final hope: Ares, will you come for me?
Then came the thunder from Olympus. No radiant clouds, no dazzling lights—only a colossal ram, blazing with Martian energy and pure rage, crashing toward the island. Enyo looked up in horror and screamed, “No! Ares, you’ll die! Stop!”
But it was too late. Ares had one thought: save his woman. He burned his divinity, offering his soul to Mars in exchange for ultimate power. This irreversible, body-shattering energy surged through him. He would tear through the void and banish these demons forever. When Typhon realized the danger, it was already too late to flee.
“Typhon! Cerberus! You dared harm my woman! You may be immortal, but today, I will exile you to the void. My body shall be your seal—you will languish in nothingness for eternity!”
Without giving them a chance to retaliate, Ares’ body dissolved into flames, merging with his spear. No matter how powerful Typhon was, he couldn’t withstand this devastating strike. After a cataclysmic roar, the Aegean Sea returned to its serene state. Only fragments of the broken spear remained, silent witnesses to the ferocity of the battle.
Enyo collapsed, trembling as she watched the fragments fade into nothingness. Tears fell unbroken. Ares, the legendary guardian and embodiment of Aries, was gone.
The Heart of an Aries in Love
This myth reflects the core of Aries’ approach to love: impulsive, passionate, direct, brave, and utterly devoted. Among the zodiac signs, Aries loves with a raw, unfiltered intensity. Their love is simple yet profound—unburdened by hesitation or hidden agendas.
Yes, Aries may have a fiery temper and moments of impatience, but these traits stem from their deeply passionate nature. They don’t merely feel; they act. They don’t just promise; they deliver. When an Aries loves, they love fearlessly—ready to sacrifice, protect, and champion their partner against all odds.
This unwavering courage and loyalty make an Aries’ love incredibly precious. They aren’t afraid to stand up, even against giants, for those they cherish. If you have an Aries in your life, value them. Their love might be a whirlwind, but it’s a whirlwind worth embracing.
What do you think? Could you love as fearlessly as an Aries?
